Although business owners are not required to register for GST/HST until the annual gross revenues exceed a minimum threshold (currently $30,000), we generally recommend that all businesses register GST/HST accounts voluntarily in order to take advantage of claiming Input Tax Credit on the GST/HST paid and payable on business purchases and expenses.
